Lynbrook Station
Landscaping Project
We were engaged to undertake the landscaping by Symal for the Lynbrook train station carpark upgrade.
Works included raingarden construction, the planting of tube stock and mature trees, and mulching. We also drafted a 24-month maintenance schedule, to ensure the site remains in top shape.
All works were carried out by our staff holding RIW cards, ensuring they were qualified to undertake work at a train station.

Why did we opt for a rain garden?
- Raingardens are specially designed garden beds that collect and filter stormwater runoff from the surrounding area.
- An effective raingarden will help circumvent flooding. The Lynbrook Train Station is a busy thoroughfare, so ensuring water doesn’t pool in the carpark is paramount to daily operations and public safety.
- Raingardens act as a bioretention system. As water pools in the raingarden, the water is naturally filtered through the mulch, sand, and soil. The plants use the nutrients in the water, whilst the rubbish and sediment is trapped on the surface.
- Our Summers are often hot and dry. Raingardens better maintain soil moisture, which makes them a fantastic option for minimal maintenance and year-round plant health.
